Wang Yuyang at Palazzo Strozzi

Posted by Edward on Saturday, March 29th, 2008

I’ve just returned from Italy where our artist Wang Yuyang is currently showing his Artificial Moon in the courtyard of the Palazzo Strozzi in Florence. The piece looks spectacular and is the first thing you see as you look through the arched entranceways to the Palazzo.

The show runs until the 4 May 2008 and is well worth a visit, not just to see Wang’s piece but the selection of other works on show in Cine Cine Cine!!! at the Strozzina galleries offer an interesting view of Chinese art from just outside of the mainstream.

The Palazzo Strozzi in Florence, Italy, is currently hosting a major review show of recent Chinese art, ‘Cina Cina Cina!!!’, curated by three independent curators, from Beijing there is Li Zhenhua, from Shanghai, Davide Quadrio, and from Ghuangzhou, Zhang Wei.
