As part of the 20th anniversary of the opening of the Goethe Institut in Beijing, they are celebrating with 12 hours of events held in the 798 Art District.

Zheng Yunhan has been commissioned to create a new installation, called 光的深处（乱流）Turbulence – the theme of past and future, double image of Beijing and Jixi from 1977–2008, which will be situated by the side of the main road which passes between UCCA and Timezone8 Cafe.

Goethe Night starts at 2pm and goes on throughout the day and night, finishing at 2am the following morning. Many other events are planned, including performances by German and Chinese musicians, performances and installations, and some games, apparently.
